3 Myths About Pain/Symptoms:
1. Where it hurts is where the problem is.
In many cases, this is not true. Just because you have calf pain or tingling in your hands doesn't mean the problem is in those areas. Often times leg/calf pain is the result of a low back problem. Tingling in the hands often comes from the lower neck.
2. The pain/symptom is the problem.
Pain and problem are not the same things. Pain is just our bodies' way of expressing there is an issue. It's like the "check engine soon" light in your car.
3. Once the pain is gone, the problem is fixed.
Pain is often the LAST thing to set in and the FIRST to go away. Soft tissue doesn't heal overnight...it's a process. Don't judge your health based on symptoms alone. Use symptoms as a guide and direction of healing.
